Save a draft

Save a draft to keep your work in progress. A draft is private to you and is not included when the site is published.

Before you begin

You need the Editor role or higher on the knowledge base, and an article with changes. The Save button is available only when there are unsaved changes.

Steps

  1. In Authoring, open the article and make your changes.
  2. Select Save.
  3. Select Save draft. The menu describes it as Private, not in releases.

DocSpade confirms with Draft saved.

Result

Your changes are kept for you only. Readers and other people on your team do not see them, and the published version of the article is unchanged.

Next

When the article is ready, save it for publishing.
