Insert shared content into an article

Use these steps to add a block of shared content to an article, so you don’t have to retype text that appears in many places.

Before you begin

  • You need the Editor role or higher on the knowledge base.
  • The space must have an active shared content block. See Create shared content.

Steps

  1. In Authoring, open the article and place the cursor where the content should go.
  2. Select Open shared content on the editor toolbar.
  3. Find the block. Use Search to filter the list by name, description or content.
  4. Select the block to preview it.
  5. Select Insert.

DocSpade confirms with Shared content inserted.

Result

The block’s content is added to the article at the cursor. It is now part of the article, so you can edit it there. Remember to save the article.
