Import an article from a Markdown file
Use these steps to bring text you wrote elsewhere into an article by importing a Markdown file.
Before you begin
- You need the Editor role or higher on the knowledge base.
- Have a Markdown file, with the extension
.mdor.txt. - Open the article in Authoring. Import replaces the article’s text, so use a new, empty article if you want to keep the current text.
Steps
- In Authoring, open or create the article.
- Select Import Markdown on the editor toolbar.
- Choose the file.
DocSpade confirms with Markdown imported.
Result
The text of the file replaces the article’s content. The title is not changed. Check the article, then save a draft or save it for publishing. Nothing is saved until you do.
