Add a note or alert

An aside is a highlighted box. DocSpade offers note, tip, caution and danger.

Before you begin

You need the Editor role or higher on the knowledge base.

Steps

1. In Authoring, open the article and place the cursor where the box should go.
2. Select Insert aside on the editor toolbar.
3. Choose the type: note, tip, caution or danger.
4. In Title (optional), enter a short title, or leave it blank.
5. Select Insert.
6. Type the text inside the box.

In Markdown mode

If you work in the Markdown editor mode, DocSpade inserts a block like this. Type your text between the first line and the closing :::.

Your text here.

:::

Replace note with tip, caution or danger. The title in square brackets is optional.

Result

The box appears in the article and on the site when you next publish.
