Add tabbed content

This article lets you add tabbed content in your article.

Steps

  1. In Authoring, open the article and place the cursor where the tabs should go.
  2. Select Insert tabs on the editor toolbar.
  3. In Tab labels, comma-separated, enter the labels, for example Windows, macOS, Linux. The field starts with Windows, macOS.
  4. Select Insert.
  5. Write the content under each tab.

At least one label is required.

In Markdown mode

In the Markdown editor mode, DocSpade inserts a block like this. Write each tab’s content after its label.

:::tabs{sync="macos-windows"}
::tab[Windows]
Steps for Windows.
::tab[macOS]
Steps for macOS.
:::

Keep tab groups in step

Tab groups that use the same labels, in any order, switch together on the page. If you want two groups to switch separately, give them different labels.

Result

The tabs appear in the article and on the site when you next publish.
