Create shared content

Use these steps to create a block of shared content, text that you write once and can insert into articles in any knowledge base of the space.

Before you begin

You need the Editor role or higher on a knowledge base in the space where the block should live.

Steps

1. In Authoring, choose a knowledge base in the space.
2. Select Open shared content on the editor toolbar.
3. Select New.
4. Enter a Name, up to 120 characters.
5. Enter a Description of 15 to 75 characters.
6. Write the Content. Use Visual or Markdown with the editor mode switch, as in an article. To add an image, select Insert image.
7. Select Create block.

DocSpade confirms with Shared content created.

Result

The block appears in the shared content list as Active. It is available to every knowledge base in the space.
